Step-by-Step Application of Add-On Self-Adhesive Sheets for Golf Grips
These steps apply to building-up grips on golf club grips only. Add-On provides a fast, easy, accurate way of building-up the grips of clubs to personally fit the hands of the athlete. Add-On will result in a build-up job that is uniform in thickness, enhances the feel of the grip and is durable enough to withstand a wide array competitive sports situations and environments. The entire process can take as little as five minutes to complete.
Before you begin: Determine which thickness Add-On (GO16 HALF + 1/32") or (GO31 FULL +1/16") you will need, then proceed with the following steps:
Note:
Steel shaft: If the golf shaft has a grip on it already, remove grip using a hook blade grip knife & a utility knife to remove the grip tape.
Note: Graphite shaft: Remove grip using a hook blade grip knife, but do not scrape tape from a graphite shaft using a knife. Warm the old tape using a heat gun for 1 to 2 minutes, then peel tape from shaft. Now, clean shaft with solvent.

Step One: Align the 2" wide end of the Add-On Self-Adhesive Sheet to the butt end of the golf shaft & parallel to the length of the shaft. Now, using only your hands, press-wrap it completely around the golf club shaft.

Step Two: Using a utility knife, trim any excess overlapping Add-On material along the 10" mating seam.

Step Three: Apply double-face tape around the built-up golf club shaft.

Step Four: Remove paper backing to expose adhesive.

Step Five: Apply grip solvent (or lighter fluid) to double-face tape & a small amount inside the grip, then slip grip onto shaft & properly align with club face. Allow gripped club to set for 15-minutes or more before swinging and hitting balls with the club.

IMPORTANT: The use of a heat gun to apply our “Original” Add-On Self-Adhesive Sheets is NOT REQUIRED and should not be used.
